"Being Green" Necklace
This necklace was created using only my own energy. I avoided using power tools or gas-fueled tools in an effort to conserve energy and resources and also to keep this piece "green." My tools consist of hammers, a hand saw, hand drill, hand stamps, files, pliers, sand paper and steel wool. The necklace is held together by cold connections (e.g., rivets and jump rings). Approximately 50% of the necklace is salvaged "scraps." These "scraps" were small bits of silver or copper leftover from other projects. The vintage fabric was found at the Madeline Island Recycling Facility "Exchange."
