"Being Green" https://www.gracehogan.com/apps/photos/ "Being Green" "Being Green" Necklace This necklace was created using only my own energy. I avoided using power tools or gas-fueled tools in an effort to conserve energy and resources and also to keep this piece "green." My tools consist of hammers, a hand saw, hand drill, hand stamps, files, pliers, sand paper and steel wool. The necklace is held together by cold connections (e.g., rivets and jump rings). Approximately 50% of the necklace is salvaged "scraps." These "scraps" were small bits of silver or copper leftover from other projects. The vintage fabric was found at the Madeline Island Recycling Facility "Exchange." https://www.gracehogan.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=90429908 90429908 Please go to the CBAC Art Auction to bid on this necklace.
